Most software comparisons count features. Fewer ask whether the coach will successfully use them.
A platform can include websites, funnels, CRM, email, automation and courses, yet still sit largely untouched after the first enthusiastic week. The gap is often implementation.
What RMM customers repeatedly mentioned
Across feedback from different types of businesses, support appeared alongside the software itself:
- Shelley Wipper valued live help and answers in the community.
- Tracy Fishburn had many setup questions and received help getting started.
- Kelly-anne Riley Smith used Zoom support and step-by-step recordings to build confidence.
- Sandra Harnett valued quick responses, how-to videos and live walkthroughs.
- Sarah Broadbent said technical ideas were explained in language she could understand.
- Sharon Garland said Steve walked her through the steps so she could use the system despite considering herself a novice.
- Claudia Frisch credited training and guidance with helping her run and update her own website.
This isn’t evidence that every user needs the same type or amount of help. It does show that support was central to how these customers described the value they received.
Documentation and implementation are different
A help article tells you where a button is. Implementation support helps you decide which button matters for your customer journey.
For example, documentation can explain how to add a workflow trigger. A useful conversation can help you decide whether the trigger should be a form submission, tag, payment or appointment, and what needs to stop the workflow later. You can view RMM pricing to see what support level is included.
Support should lead to independence
The goal isn’t to make customers afraid to change anything without permission. It’s to help them understand the system well enough to operate it, with a route back to help when something unfamiliar appears.
That’s why Kelly-anne’s comment about feeling confident to tweak things is significant. She didn’t simply get a task completed. She became more capable of managing it.
Include support in your platform comparison
When comparing prices, ask:
- Is support generic or connected to my setup?
- Can I ask implementation questions?
- Are there live sessions, recordings or templates?
- Who helps when a customer journey breaks?
- Does support understand a UK coaching or small-business context?
